About The Driving Theory Test
If you would like to drive a car or ride a motorbike in the UK then you must pass a driving theory test and a driving test before you can do so.
The theory and the practical tests are put in place by the government to make sure that you can control the vehicle safely. The test ensures that drivers know the meaning of important road signs and other things on the road that may be a hazard if you are not aware of them.
You have to pass the theory test before you can take a driving test. However you do not have to have passed to get behind the wheel of an instructors car.
Taking a few driving lessons before you take your theory test may well give you a better insight into what these signs, signals and hazards look like. You may well be able to pass it easier because you a have a little bit of practical knowledge under your belt.
There are 2 parts of the theory test: the multiple choice part and the hazard perception part.
The first part gives you questions and a few options to chose from and you must choose the option that best fits the questions. The second part, the hazard perception part, is a video set up and you must click each hazard that appears on the screen. Too many clicks will disqualify that screen. So having some knowledge and not just guessing is a must.
You must pass both sections to pass the test and you must have a provisional driving license in order to take your driving theory test.
A driving theory test can be a daunting thing. But never fear, we can help you get ready and be prepared and focused for the test with our Theory Test Lessons.
